When we first met,
My heart was made of sand.
Everyone left footprints
They faded into dust.
Then you came along,
Your warmth heated the sand
Made it into glass,
Your footprint buried deep.
There forever more.
Polished glass glistening,
A shining mass,
Inside that mass,
Your signature in glass,
Embedded in my heart.
